Dead Cat (with collar) on Meynard Ter, btn Newton & Van Epps
« on: February 19, 2012, 06:08 pm »
There was a dead cat in the middle of Meynard Terrace, between Newton and Van Epps. I pulled over to make sure it was dead and not just injured. Poor little one had a collar with a bell on. I think it said Stawell on the collar but it was kind of hard to read. I moved it over to the side walk so people wouldn't run over the poor thing any more. I'm sure someone is missing their family pet so I wanted to share. I didn't think to take a picture, sorry.
Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl!

thank you for moving her. =( poor thing.  Was it run over, or could this be the work of the dogs who got the grey one this morning?

I didn't see any signs of puncture wounds. My best guess is she/he was hit, but not completely run over, as I also didn't see any blood. It just broke my heart because it was definitely someone's pet. I'm just hoping the owner(s) look on here and read it. It was a gray and brown tabby.

I've found three like that in the last couple months.  I was starting to wonder if someone was poisoning rats around here.

I HATE to think that is the case... Unfortunately in this neighborhood it wouldn't surprise me.
