Foster homes needed for adorable puppies!
« on: April 10, 2011, 10:21 pm »
Today I helped a lady catch 6 of 7 puppies that were born under her parent's house. Unfortunately, we have no space or foster homes available so 4 of the pups had to go to Dekalb County Animal Services. They have been around people since they were born but momma dog wouldn't let anyone pick them up, just pet. As soon as I caught them they were wagging their tails and loving belly rubs. Unfortunately mom is to feral to adopt out and we have set a trap to try and catch her and the last baby, Animal Services came out but couldn't catch her either. Mom looked like she had a little pit bull, but a lot of black lab and who knows what else. She was about 40 lbs. IMO, 4 of the babies look like Shepherd mixes and the other 3 look like pit mixes and were bigger than the other puppies. Litter of puppies can have more than one dad and the puppies look like this might be the case. Unfortunately we had a parvo puppy in our home recently so we can't take in puppies and all of our foster homes are full. The home owners daughter took 2 puppies that she already made appointments for at Lifeline in Avondale estates and then she is going to find them homes. Our friends are going to foster one for ABR, there are still 3 more at animal control that need foster homes and we still have to catch one more that is still with mom. Please help us spread the word that we need adopters or foster homes for these adorable pups.

Thank you! It looks like we have foster homes for the 4 animal services took yesterday. We trapped mom over night, but she is in no way adoptable. Eric is over there now trying to catch the last puppy. They are getting vetted through animal control and it's $75 per puppy if anybody can sponsor part of a pup's vetting, donations are tax deductible. Atlanta Bully Rescue's paypal is ABRevents@gmail.com

All these guys need forever home so please keep sharing their info :)

5 of the pups are at Lifeline today and the other 2 are coming here tomorrow. If anyone can sponsor part of a pup's surgery, you can call up to Lifeline directly at 678-973-2881 or for tax deductible donations you can paypal abrevents@gmail.com

We still need foster homes for 2 of the pups and all of them need forever homes :)

I met Rear Admiral Butters on Sunday and he is wonderful!!!!!
Yes, I agree, with that I knew someone close that smoked and went to chewing tobacca. Used a spit can which was yuck, and then the door of his car.~Denise

Rear Admiral (lower half) Butters is an awesome pup.  He is quiet, good mannered, and knows when and where to go.  Problem is not him, its our dogs.  Apparently they are too old and set in their ways to deal with a puppy.  If you can foster or even better adopt this little guy forever, it would be a huge help, and you would get one awesome hound.

For any of you that met or knew our dog Duesenburg before he passed, I can honestly say that Butters is an easier puppy that D was, and D was a coma waiting to happen.

Little Butters is super snuggly and sweet!  I watched kids drag him all over the place on Sunday and he didn't mind a bit.

I watched Rear Admiral (lower half) Butters take naps on almost every person at the party.  He also does not mind if you shove his whole face in your mouth as a party trick.
