Concert House @Bouldercrest Rd SE
« on: November 24, 2010, 11:13 pm »
Does anyone know what the deal is at 1384 Bouldercrest Rd SE?  About 2-3 months ago, the owners/renters started having concerts there.  I live around the Kudzu triangle, and the back of this house faces it.  Even with my windows closed, I can still hear the music playing.  It seems they have live concerts going on there at least a couple of times a month.  Don't you need a permit for that sort of thing?  The last concert they had, which was this past Saturday, was still going on past 2am.  I'm up late anyway, but I really feel bad for those that are closer to that house.

Here is the FaceBook invite for the chaos at your party house. Might explain a lot!

Heh, sure does!  They even say until 3am.  It's amazing that this is going on, not in a club, but at a house.  Well...it's a big house...but still...

The liquor part is what concerns me....All you can drink for a fiver? Simply dangerous, especially since some of those who confirmed are high schoolers.. Might be fun to distribute this info to the affected neighbors.

I was thinking of doing that.  I was planning on starting to call the police and file complaints about the noise late at night anyway.

Whether it be for disturbing the peace, operating an illegal business, unlawful serving of alcohol, etc., I definitely would think this would warrant a call to the police.

Well I just made the first call to the Dekalb Police Dept. tonight. Here's hoping this stops. They're having another concert going on right now.

It took about an hour and a half after I called, but they got shut down.

I would contact whoever you can (local government & police higher-ups) and show them the Facebook page. Take a screenshot so that if they take down the Facebook page you can email it as an attachment. Let them know they are promoting this place like a club which is ILLEGAL to run in a house zoned for residential use.
