I was just driving past the old E2/Hotspot/Paris location, and saw a sign: cupcake boutique.  With Hodgepodge opening and OMG in the village, this makes three cupcake stores, I guess...

Well, two of the new cupcake places aren't open yet, and I would imagine that they didn't realize each other was opening (that and the place on Moreland  has been attempting to get started for over a year). I don't know if the places on Moreland even think about the Village as being geographic competition?
That said, there's something happening at the former Kasan Red/Chas location! The new rockabilly shop, Italian bakery hopefully opening soon, thought I saw a new boutique that looked like it was stocked with many handmade items...lots happening in and around the Village!!

I heard 529 took the Kasan Red space to expand, which makes a lot of sense.

There's definitely been progress...window's been painted there's a lot of stuff going on inside.

Yeah, it does feel like things are hopping.  MSR expanding, 529 expanding, Grease Monkeys, the new thing going in where Blue Frog was...
