Building on Flat Shoals
« on: January 22, 2012, 08:59 pm »
If I'm late to this party, my apologies. I can't find whether/where it's been discussed before. What's going on in that building across from Midway, just south of the farmer's market lot? I noticed a sign on the door when I drove past today but wasn't able to stop and see what it says.

I talked to the woman who is living there one day as she was moving the bicycle sign onto the utility pole to discourage people from parking in front of her "house" during the Farmers Market.  I said that it had been empty for so many years that peeps thought it was still empty since the front is still the same (meaning it looks like crap).  She said she was going to keep it that way to discourage thieves.  I was discouraged and just left.  Don't understand some peoples logic or lack there of. I noticed someone put the sign back where it had been.
I don't have kids.  I've never figured out what they're for.

If cars are passing you on the right you are in the wrong lane.

Are you talking about that building that was going to be a bakery, going to be XXXX?  When did that change hands and is it actually zoned residential?

Must have changed hands about mid-year. She was living there when the Farmer's Market was going on. It's in the EAV NC zone, so I'd imagine residential uses are allowed.

They were "renovating" it during the Play, which was the last week of August.
