Just read the Loafing article. Looks like we need 500 neighbors to throw in a thousand bucks apiece to get it going. And then what's the maintenance?
You'd also want to have booze with your old movies or new plays. Can nonprofits get a beer and wine license?

Apparently we only need 5.5 people to throw in a thousand bucks? Perhaps even cheaper by now?

I'm fairly certain this is just an ad to rent The Madison... they give it away with this very Abe-esque detail: "Its "as is" meaning the tenant would be responsible for fixing up and restoring the property."

Yeah, $5,500 a month and you get to foot the bills for an unknown but likely unbelievably huge rehabilitation cost.
