Because I'll tell you this, I bet one of the reasons Abe won't even return the Arts Committees' calls about a mural on the Slush wall is this crap right here.

I don't know Abe, but everything I've ever heard about him is that he's a POS slum lord that doesn't give a mouse fart about anyone or anything in the Village, except for his steady stream of rental/leasing/billboard income....

Shame that you guys can't legally just put a cool mural on that Slush wall.  That would be super.  O0
We can't legally put a cool mural anywhere, even with landlord blessing, without a permit. Trying to figure out how to get said permit for a mural, not a "sign" (which costs a lot of money) is yet another exercise in frustration.

And JBB, guess you just volunteered to keep the Madison free of grafitti. Thanks!
Fuck it.  Let's do it illegally then.
Or maybe they're happy and content, living their little donut lives until the monstrous humans come along to rip their doughy flesh open with their teeth, sucking up their jelly innards.

I'd love to, but it would be a waste of time if we're just going to get reported.

But we'd have fun doing it, right?  I'll volunteer to stand by while the artists are working and smash any cellphones or cameras that come near it!  >:O

Heh, right?

But in all seriousness, where's the line? Very few landlords are keeping their properties clean of tags, individual people can only do so much before burnout sets in, and if we decide we want to go forward with an illegal mural, who gets to decide what is "acceptable" public "art"?

excuse me while I slip and slide down this slope...

You won't ever get agreement on that, legal mural or not. How about defining it as: Looks like it was planned for the space, does not promote a single person or entity, has the support of a significant portion of the community, is not done in the dead of night.
