old wachovia
« on: March 09, 2010, 11:16 am »
Although I tend not to pay attention, I noticed that there is no longer an "available" sign at the old Wachovia.  This could be something new, something that happened a long time ago, or I could have completely imagined ever seeing an "available" sign in the first place.

Anyone know if something is going in the building?

The sign may still be in the window, but hiding behind the uncut bushes. To my knowledge nothing is going in the building at this time. It would be nice, if someone would. It's a great building!

Grant Central has purchased the building, but they're denying that they are moving...

Eric is a restaurateur - it's entirely possible they are simply opening another concept.

5 contributions to this thread and 540+ views?  (in the time it took me to post the view count is now 750+ views?   I recognize the begin date was 3/09 and the initial two exchanges were settled (?) in 3 1/2 hrs. The thread was bumped by Woody 11/16/10, Tuesday, this week.  I do not know the normal views/response average, however, this seems very "Lurkered".

So... apparently NOT going to be an outpost of Bell Street Burritos.  (Or did we already know that?)

I had no clue... But some kind of restaurant has to be going on there considering all the work they've done to the building...  Any idea what? Has Grant Central East changed their mind and are going to take over the space now?

All the permits are named "Grant Central Pizza"

That could just be because they're the ones who own the property.  Doesn't mean that they're necessarily the tenant.

Is this all we're basing the not-bell-street-burritos conclusion, or was that somewhere else?

Right...the Grant Central Pizza wording on the permits is not conclusive, though that space is often used to name the actual business that will be occupying the building.

The Bell Street Burritos no-go was relayed to me by folks at BSB when I asked them about it at lunch today.
