Sink HOLE!!!
« on: June 13, 2011, 10:28 pm »
Just outside of Slush on the Glenwood side is a good size new sink hole.  Doesn't look like the city has gotten involved yet, but some kind folks have roped it off.  I ain't parking near that sucker because it looks hungry for a little beat up toyota!
Anyone know if this is Abe's or city's or who's?  Some unsuspecting visitor is going to either try to park there or next to it and make it grow.  What can we do to stop the potential damage?

Spanky, call channel 46 local news. They are after such problems, and will put it on their news.

I think it's generally indicative of a water line leak that has washed away the soil underneath the asphalt until the asphalt/whatever soil was left caved.  I know in the road way it's the city's responsibility but I think on private property it's the owner's.

Maybe it swallowed up the people who are working so diligently to ensure that the Glenwood reopens "hopefully this weekend"...
