Whoa!!  BACON CLUB!!!

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=319739034712226&set=pu.288803301139133&type=1&theater

Please please please be affordable!!!!!!

Bacon is going to be $9 to $11 a pound, not sure yet. There will be 3 cures available by the pound at all times. Some Bacons may be more expensive than others, and i will have different cuts you can get.
Bacon Club will be a full pound of bacon every month, cured in a way to correspond with the month.
For example:
January is National Apple and Apricots Month and National Hot Tea Month. The bacon will be an Apple Smoked, Ceylon and Apricot Honey Bacon.
February is usually Chinese New Year (though this year it's January 23rd) so Feb's bacon will be a Hickory Smoked, Chinese Five Spice Bacon.
And so on...
So far it looks like the Club Membership will be $1 off a pound, so if bacon is $9, the Club cost would be $96 for the year, if $10 a pound, $108 for the year - and so on.
I think there will be shirts available for the members as well.

I cannot express just how happy this makes me. Somebody - everybody - make sure to post details on the Bacon Club when available. Post it here. Post it on Facebook. Tweet it. Write it in the bathroom at The Earl. Put a note in my mailbox .... I'd really hate to miss it.

Pricing looks good Jim, as does the preview!  If we end up getting some swag like a t-shirt (thus officially making it a club), that will be phenomenal!  Count me in!

The stew didn't do it for me.  But I'm all over bacon club.   *:)*  Until I learn to cure my own.

I asked on facebook if pigmata will have a gift certificate type thing i can do so this can be a christmas present.  What do you get someone who has everything?  Bacon of course!
Yes, I agree, with that I knew someone close that smoked and went to chewing tobacca. Used a spit can which was yuck, and then the door of his car.~Denise

If he doesn't reply here first, I'll probably see Jim tonight.  I'll see if I can get a chance to get an update.

Would be much appreciated. I haven't talked to anybody about this who doesn't think it's the greatest idea ever.

I didn't get anything definite out of him, only that it is still coming and that he's not going to start taking orders until he has everything in place.  He us aware that we here are anxiously awaiting this and said that he will make sure to check in here when a real update is available.

I had pigmata brunswick stew at thanksgiving and damn it was good. More like stew than soup, and smoky. I need some more of that stuff!

You know what he's doing right?  He is toying with my emotions.
