SOUP SWAP October Two Oceans 11
« on: October 28, 2011, 06:58 pm »
Anyone want to swap soup again since the weather is changing?  And before the holidays.  I'm thinking about making up some butternut squash soup.  Do something funky to it, like a thai green curry cilantro pesto swirl on top.

I had elk soup in Estonia this weekend. It was one of the best soups i've ever had, served in ceramic bowls for €1 a ladleful. Holy crap it was good.

I will send good soup thoughts to Atlanta. Post what you make and how it turns out so I can share in the soupy goodness from afar!!   |@|

I would love to, but must skip it this time. Soup Swap is one of the best buzz-ventions.

Wow... I made first pot roast this weekend... the cooking bug has caught me! Trying to think of the perfect soup for this. Charley made a great Bermudan fish soup the other day, but it's not for everyone... although it was EXCELLENT.

I'm making a pulled pork tomatillo stew right now.  I'll put some in the freezer for the swap.

I hope the cooking bug never bites me.  I've had the good fortune of having three partners each of whom have been excellent cooks.

I don't like cooking!    |@|    <:)~

I'll be happy to do the clean-up after you do the cooking!

OK, back on track here, people.
I'm making a butternut squash soup with some type of spicy pesto swirl.  How much heat do you folks prefer?
mild, medium, hot or Thai hot?

OK, mine is ready for swapping.  Some unidentified squash that I got from the farm.  Similar to Butternut but not as much flavor.   :(~
Comes with a little baggie of green curry-cilantro pesto to swirl over it.  Gives it some heat.
Who needs some?
