what did you do to your yard today?

i would love to hear what you guys do, how often, and how long.

today i filled the wheel barrow with old pine straw and leaves we dumped behind our yard in the woods.  i moved them to the garden to use as mulch.  they are still in hills and need to be spread.  i was having to pull out kudzu as i filled.  mr pants took the evening off ("much deserved).

and i watered a few wilty plants with the last of the rain barrel water.

I watered the veggies with water from the de-humidifier, pulled a few random weeds from the flower and fern beds and tossed all the pecan trash off the deck. Those darn squirrels rip the tips of branches off and throw them on the walkways. I'll mow the back tomorrow. It's too hot to work in the yard.

Mowed the front and aft lawn, then pulled all the crap from the perimeter into a pile to take to the dump.  Then moved the wood pile as I am installing a privacy fence, but need to move the old fence in about 3 feet while I do it so that our band of idiots do not put on eye patches and take over the hood.  God being broke and having to do this crap yourself sucks.

I put out some more hay in the back yard, filled in the hole the dogs dug again. I need to mow the lawn, pull down vines and repair the fence. Oh and clean the gutters. Anyone need a  job?

Today's my water day, so I got up early & watered the hop garden..  That's about it.  I need to get a ton more mulch, like 20 bags worth, and weed my garden & put down mulch.  Right now the mulch layer is so thin it doesn't prevent any weed action.  Then I need to take some plants that weren't hardened off back to Home Depot.. I love that return policy.. Jerks.
