Some schmuck called the Health Dept and now the Flatiron is not allowed to have dogs on the patio. WTF!! What an asshole!
Some days you're the dog: some days you're the hydrant.

I'm guessing The Midway didn't get the memo, there were about a dozen dogs there last night.

Well, kids were finally banned from the Flatiron patio because somebody called in their violation of the smoking law and that also didn't affect The Midway, which was just as much in violation.

You can argue that Midway, because of the size of its patio, is better able to accommodate scofflaw behavior re: kids/dogs, but it's a pretty shitty position to be in where you get busted while a competitor is allowed to continue doing the same thing.

And it should be noted that The Flatiron could have gotten pissed about that uneven enforcement and called in The Midway, but they didn't. And clearly they are pissed about getting turned in for the dog thing but again seem to be taking the high road. Speaks well of them.

Sounds like someone has a vendetta against the flatiron.
