Hmm, now not only can I not Preview, but I can also not automatically insert more than 1 quote into a reply.  I can reply to a post, but if I want to insert another (second) quote (from another person) into the post, the "Insert Quote" link doesn't work.  I had to insert it manually.  Thank goodness for that master's in information science. Heh.

It's been like that for me for some time now.

What's happened to the notification function?  Even when I create or post to a thread, I'm often having to select "Notify" in order to receive updates of responses/postings?
"Hey Fred, I knew a lady who used to keep her little goats in the house, but do you want all that smelly mess?"

That's the "been busted" email notifications thing. But your timing is good - I've been working on switching things around tonight. So now it could be that the problem is fixed for everybody who was having problems, or could be that nobody will get notifications now.

Somebody send me a PM and also respond to this thread if you don't mind (I've turned on notifications for it).

Mucho thanko. Haven't seen notifications yet, but it could be that it takes a bit longer running through a regular mail server.

Is there a way I can remove an ad I posted in Classifieds? I posted one for a Flute Player and Drummer for the June 12 USA-England World Cup game shown at Midway. The topic is getting derailed and we'd rather just pull the ad than risk upsetting anyone.

I tried to remove it, but I wasn't allowed. Are only moderators able to delete posts?

Thanks for your help!

Yeah, you can't remove a whole topic you created - because that would be also removing other people's content, and that's just too much power to vest in mere humans. But I can kill it for you.

And after reading the thread, it should be noted that Buzzers are a funny bunch and you shouldn't take offense at the silliness. It's sort of a tradition.

Imagine the response you woe have gotten if you'd posted that on Craigslist.

OH I know! I'm not offended; BUT we figured since it's getting totally off-topic, it might just be better to kill it. Personally, I think we have VERY creative people on the Buzz and wish I could think up half the stuff that triumph did.

As for Craigslist....I shudder to think of the..ahem..pictures that could be attached showing different interpretations of "flutes." Either that or spam.

But yeah, I think putting it to rest would be the best way to go.

Thank you again!

I've been getting a message when I try to post that says "Your session timed out. ..."
This has happened when I've taken a while to write something, but also when I've written really quickly.
It just means I have to hit post again, so not a big deal, but what's the cause?

The cause is probably your session timing out ...

How often are you seeing it, and what kind of delay are we talking between starting a post and actually posting it? 5 minutes? an hour?
