Ironically, this might the type of shop that is good for the village (hard to tell, really, with all the current turnover). The concept has some advantages, hopefully enough to outweigh some disadvantages.
- draws from a wide area (I'm not a cigar fan, but I drive up to Sid Marcus to buy my FIL presents)
- draws a regular crowd (the place on SM is a little like a living room: smokey and everyone is watching sports)
- draws a steadier stream (not like an event)
- mainly daytime traffic (good for restaurants and shops alike)
- sufficiently niched, so there won't be a whole string of cigar-lover stores; and it might draw complementary businesses to locate nearby (similar to how Cheshire Bridge has a lot of antique places, maybe some other "man-store" concepts will congregat - new village tagline could be "Visit EAV for all of your manly needs"

)
