Ale Yeah!
« on: June 09, 2010, 11:04 am »
Just found out about the craft beer store opening up in EAV this summer. Lease signed at 490B Flat Shoals.  Okay who's got the scoop?  Also, if this is mentioned somewhere else on the buzz, I missed it, sorry.

I went by today and saw the signs, it's in one of the places that used to be a boutique (OK, that doesn't really help, does it). What a super fabulous thing to have in the EAV!

My hope for another new business in the EAV is that they have hours posted, even if they are unusual hours and stick to them (Oh, like I brew beer, ha!!!). Last week I decided I might like to do a little shopping. VERY VERY little was opened. It was so weird. I  had Traders, Bound to be Read, Park Pets, the "new" convenience store or Urban Cannibals to choose from. Not bad choices, but I was hoping to paruse something new to me. I can't shop if you aren't open. There were many other shoppers who appeared to think the same thing on a Thursday afternoon at about 4pm.

Slancha!
That's 'to your health' in beer speak good people and it's whole-heartedly meant as the rumors are true- we are opening in the East Atlanta Village later this summer, with a target date of Sept. 1!  Ale Yeah! will be Atlanta's first craft beer only package store that that will be located two doors down from the EARL at 490B Flat Shoals Ave.  That's right- no wine, no spirits, just the love of America's favorite malted beverage.  The store will also offer fine cheeses, cured meats and chocolates that compliment the experience of a perfect pint. The lease was signed one week ago and the store is being prepped with blood, sweat and tears as we embark upon the journey of sharing the artistry of beer with all in our great city.  The website is a work in progress that we'll be updating soon, as well you can follow us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Atlanta-GA/Ale-Yeah-Craft-Beer-Market/110319822348140

Cheers!

I think you mean 'sláinte' but that's totally cool, and sláinte right back at ya!  |@|

Looking forward to stopping in!
Next time you drink a homebrew, thank Jimmy Carter, who on October 14, 1978 signed H.R.1337 legalizing homebrewing in the United States.
