Have you bought your milk, bread and toilet paper?
« on: January 05, 2017, 08:38 pm »
I'm seeing photos of Atlanta Kroger shelves bereft of food. School's getting out early Friday and I know of at least one business sending people home at noon. The hell is going to start long before any rain or snow.

Not thinking, I just tried to put my weekly order in with Kroger for Saturday pick up.  No times available tomorrow or Saturday.  Thankfully we already have bread, milk, eggs, and TP.   :)%

I was laughing at all those people who went to the store today until I got home and found that I have only three slices of bread left. It's been nice knowing you all.

It always seems like these are the times when we ACTUALLY NEED bread, milk and/or eggs.

luckily i went Tuesday.  Then i told scott to go slow on the milk because it may be the only thing that keeps us alive.  It was all gone this morning.
Yes, I agree, with that I knew someone close that smoked and went to chewing tobacca. Used a spit can which was yuck, and then the door of his car.~Denise

Yeah, nothing like getting trapped with the masses on your regular grocery day.

Nor the East Lake Publix.
I am just laughing picturing what the ERD looks like right now.

Yes, especially in light of their "state of the art" parking lot and traffic control.

Parking at Moreland Kroger was full but doable around 3pm.  Folks inside were actually pleasant and nice to each other.  I braved it for firewood and beer.   :drink:

Haven't ventured out of the house yet because my porch is still frozen, but Flat Shoals is dry already. The sunny parts, anyway.

I am pretty goddamned disappointed. I was promised snow. And there was no snow. This is bullshit!

I was in Krobar yesterday and saw that the entire stock of potato chips had been depleted.  Plenty of corn chips and pretzels, though.  Also, plenty of Pringles.

Intriguing.

Ok, not really.  Mildly interesting at best.
