Former Salon behind Burglar Bar Barbell Gym
« on: March 15, 2018, 06:59 am »
The orange storefront closest to the new Ironside development, formerly a salon and before that a computer repair shop, is re-opening as a what?  All the signage is down, the window is papered, they even took the a/c unit out of the wall.
Anyone?

At the Feb EACA meeting, it was approved that she relocate her salon to another spot in the village. Did something change?

Just talked to Dorothy Rose this morning.  The building owner keeps raising her rent hundreds of dollars every year.  She has been in that same spot for 30 years.  She is now in the check cashing spot to the left of Dolly's.  Lets hope for 30 more years.  Dorothy is an kind and awesome person.
It doesn't take a committee.  It just takes one person.

Yes, it was presented that she wanted to move into a space previously occupied by a salon and according to NC-2 East Atlanta Zoning regs, a salon cannot open within 500 linear feet of another salon.
