So did you buy one of the Evictor models?  I'm curious if this sort of thing requires some particular pulse frequency/intensity that only a special device can provide or if a generic strobe light is effective.
I opted for the $20 version from Party City.  In one of the threads here on the buzz discussing the strobe method of control, it was stated that the only difference was that the expensive strobes were more durable and would last closer to 5 years where the others would putter out after a year.  Not sure if that's true, but in that I find strobe lights to be pretty annoying, hopefully a rodent will agree with me.
