Adventures of Tin Tin, anyone?
« on: December 21, 2011, 02:23 pm »
I just read a review on the NY Times, and it sounds good, but I didn't see any references or credits to Professor Calculus. How can you have Tin Tin without Calculus?  I'll probably go see it anyway. Any other Tin Tin fans out there?

I got two free tickets as part of a Hampton Inns promotion but I think I accidentally tossed them.

I've never heard of Tin Tin until now, but I read a pretty lukewarm review of the movie today in USA Today.

The review basically said that it would have been much better as either live action or traditional animation; that the film suffers for the motion-capture format.

I would think even a CGI character styling similar to Toy Story or other Pixar "humans" would be preferable.  I just don't understand the insistence on moviemakers trying to bridge the uncanny valley.

Still looks like a fun movie.  :(~

I found my free movie passes to this courtesy of Hampton Inns.  It's good for a pass for two at Atlantic Station with a value of up to $24, and expires on Jan 22.

I doubt K and I will have the time to take advantage of them...anyone want them for free?

i enjoyed it (watched in 3D). thought it was going to be more "kiddie" but ended up being a fun adventure film.

I should post in here that a buzzer has spoken for my free passes so they aren't available any more.
