I think she could visit on Halloween because of the thin veil between the worlds. All the ghosts probably exist in the house but only show themselves when someone is around. That basement must be really crowded.

Moira is an interesting character, love how men and women perceive her ghost different ways.

same here!  (and OMG would that i could pull off that hair color!)

did anyone catch that she was able to visit her mother on Halloween and clearly hadn't seen her in a LONG TIME.  i wonder if moira only can exist when someone lives in the house.

so...have we sorted out yet if crazy neighbour lady LIVED in the house or just worked for her for a while?  she did allude to having employed her once "for a short time", but i couldn't tell what house the "incident" took place in.

That incident was definitely in the master bed of the murder house.  Constance definitely lived there for some time.

And I agree with Drayvin, Moira could visit her mother because it was Halloween.

Well, uh, this is nerdy, but I am on the wikia for the show:

http://americanhorrorstory.wikia.com/wiki/American_Horror_Story_Wiki

We discuss all this crap, and we could use some help adding pages and info and everything.  There are pages specifically telling you what all is on both sites, in case you missed something.

Yeah, and while Addie was flirting with Constance's boy toy he read about how the dead could move freely among the living on Halloween.  So it was the only time she could get away from the house and go to the nursing home.

Well now we know Tate is Constance's son.  Looks like Tate may have had a Columbine moment in his past.  Do you think Constance slipped something into Violet's drink?

I do think she slipped something in her drink. Also, could there be good and bad spirits in the house? Tate has to be dead. The shooting occured over 16 years ago, so either he is aging really well or he is a ghost.
I am also wondering about the cop and real estate agent. I am gonna to assume that the figure in the black gimp outfit is the former doctor that lived there.

I was going to say the SAME THING  (just can't really type all this from my phone and this is the first time at the computer all day)

I def think that C put something in Violet's drink, BUT we never see Violet actually drink, right?   so i think like the cupcake dealie, she dodged the bullet.  i also think that besides being gross and BESIDES the ipecac that Con put in the cupcake, that there might have been something to having Addie spit in the batter.  Something more sinister than just "ew gross".

I think Tate is dead:  first date out of the house area is on Halloween...the rest of the time, he's really only ever in the house, right?  The "amnesia" about the dead kids--there's all the lore about earth-bound spirits sometimes not knowing what's going on or who people are--the confusion of the abruptly dead and all.  And the fact that those kids all knew him and the one saying she should have been 34...I figured it was something long past b/c of Con's age, but considering that comment, I think it's pretty well-assured that Tate is a deader.   But I think something about all those people (Constance, Tate, Addie--whatever other dead kids there are lurking about, since she buried two more) living in such proximity to the Murder House...I think maybe they all have some other "powers"--we already KNOW that Tate has some kind of something going on with weird little devil monster guy who attacked Violet's druggie school bully chick.

I loved the "march of the dead people of the house" near the end.  oh my oh my there are many more stories a-brewing!  And i don't think the cop is dead--otherwise why would he have been so surprised that Hayden was gone?  But I think maybe he is not a stranger to the house in some way or another. Maybe the husband of the boring chick who cut herself when Ben was roofied?

Man i love this show... LOL

I think the story is going to all come down to the baby. Once the soul of the baby gets a new body all the spirits are let go. The house will protect the wife because she has the baby but will try to get rid of the husband so he doesn't stand in the way. Also maybe the house gets rid of those who won't give it a baby (cheating husband, gay couple, etc). I'm also wondering if the burned man figured something of that out so he went mad and burned them. I liked too that it looks like Tate doesn't know he's a ghost.

I've been sure Tate is a ghost for some time now.  I thought Tate was just lying to keep Violet in the dark about his living/dead status, pretending not to know all the dead teenagers.

Yeah...but then there was the not being able to uhm...make it happen, and saying something about never having done that with a girl (and then blaming it on meds Ben prescribed) even though he had lots of sex talk to dish when he was in session with Ben.    And I think Violet still thinks that those kids are made up for halloween, even if she doesnt' get why Tate claims not to know them when they all clearly know him.    Missing Jaw Dude was the most convincing ;)

I thought he knew right till the end when it looked like he started having flashbacks of him in the school remembering what he did.

But considering his first session with Ben, I wonder if he still thinks it's a dream?

I don't think he thinks it's a dream, I think he's playing with Ben telling him what he's done but saying it's a dream.

But was he telling Ben what he'd done, or just what he'd dreamed or fantasized about doing?   May have to rewatch episode one to double check...but I'm pretty sure that he said it was something he wanted to do, which is why Ben was trying to call someone to report Tate as a potential danger to others (otherwise, can't break Dr/Patient confidence).  Oh darn...now I have to rewatch an episode...such a hardship! ;)
