I just happened to check my queue online today (normally I just check thru the Wii or Roku), and noticed that several of my movies have a comment under Notes that says "Until 1/1/12".  I thought WTH? and checked online for any info....Based upon all of the articles I found, it seems that in all the Netflix/Quickster/price change drama, no one noticed that Netflix was losing distribution rights with Stars, indie filmmakers, and Criterion (which handles classic & art movies).  Netflix did gain a deal with Dreamworks, which gives them family blockbusters, but I don't see how that in any way gives them the variety/number of films they are losing.

So, in the next week I guess I'll be watching the 10 movies I'll lose on Jan 1st, and learning all I can about Hulu Plus/Amazon.  Anyone have god/bad/ugly experiences with those two services?

only 4 of my 51 instant queue films are marked to go away... probably won't go out of my way to try to see any of them this week.

I just checked my queue. I have almost 200 movies in it. Of those about 50 are available instantly. There is nothing indicating that any of them are going to become unavailable so it doesn't look like it is going to effect me at all. I haven't used Hulu Plus/Amazon so can't offer any feedback on them.

I'm paying for Netflix every month, the streaming subscription.  We were struggling to find a movie to watch last nite on Comcast On-Demand (wound up settling for Cowboys & Aliens  -  fun, mindless movie) but afterwards I realized we have Netflix and we are using it so infrequently it didn't even occur to me to check it.

Time to cancel.

It seems like they intermittently pull shows.  We started watching "Raising Hope" a couple of weeks ago, and suddenly it disappeared.  3 days later, it was back.  Weird, but thank God because that show is funny as hell! <!D
