I'm board with the farm......

I think the previews showed where they go next. Can't tell if it is the same place as in the books but looks similar and if they showed it in the previews they are headed there soon.

From what I've gathered, they just go to some school next week. Whether that's a replacement for where they SHOULD be going, I'm not sure, but I certainly hope not. And Michonne supposedly appears in the season finale.
Dude, NO SPOILERS!!!!
Or maybe they're happy and content, living their little donut lives until the monstrous humans come along to rip their doughy flesh open with their teeth, sucking up their jelly innards.

Now confirmed, he's coming!

Huh. Not who I would have thought....and there goes the theory of Merle returning as the governer.

I'm sure it's a plot device, but I don't understand why they're being so hard on the kid. He's not part of the Philly gang, other than he apparently fell in with them recently after they arrived in Atlanta, he seems loyal to the guys who saved his life when his buddies abandoned him for zombie fodder, and he knows Maggie (so it seems like he'd be an easy ally to make).

I also don't understand how Maggie didn't recognize him in the days / weeks he was there before his leg was well enough to turn him loose. They really need to tighten up some of these plot lines - the zombies alone eat up all of their "willful suspension of disbelief" allotment. Not much room to suspend much else for the sake of keeping the plot going.

So, we got our 2nd shot of an infant seat post-apocalypse last night (the first being T-Dog spotting a bloody carseat as they were scavenging on the highway while Sophia was lost). Shane spotted a car seat while trapped on the school bus. I have to figure this is foreshadowing a (not surprising) bad outcome for Lori + (Rick | Shane)'s baby. No, Shane, Rick can't keep them safe - and neither can you.

I thought the lone walker in the field that Shane spotted on the way to the Public Works building and back was interesting;  Shane didn't want to stop and shoot it at either point - just watched it disinterestedly as he passed by. Pretty stark contrast to the Shane that opened the barn and opened fire on the captive walkers just a few weeks ago. Seemed like Shane might even have been feeling a little connection to the lone walker - he's pretty alone right now too.

And I'm also thinking the walker spotting along with the pointed comments about the two sheriffs (interesting parallel, that) at the Public Works building not having visible bites is leading to some revelation about the nature of zombie-itis (perhaps they're going to tell us what Jenner said to Rick?) or some big plot twist (there's already been speculation that Shane's going to buy it based on the comics + a recent announcement that the actor is teaming up with Darabont on another series).

Frankly, I hope Shane stays on. He's far and away the most interesting and multi-dimensional character on the show.

Oh, and Andrea needs to take a dose of her own "your approach needs a little work" medicine when it comes to handling suicidal teens. But I loved her tirade at Olive Oyl - Lori's had that coming for WEEKS.

Did he get scratched back at the gym? At the time - when he was shaving his head - I thought he had a zombie scratch scar. I wondered (incorrectly) at the time if part of why he killed Otis was because he knew he'd gotten scratched.

Honestly, I don't see how they all haven't been scratched a dozen times. But no, the scar was from Otis grabbing and pulling out a chunk of his hair after Shane shot him in the leg.

I wish we could tell how long it has been.  On one side the kid seems to have healed somewhat after having his leg ripped open pretty nastily...but on the other hand, conversations during the show would indicate they pretty much dropped him off a day or two after they got him (the Lori/Maggie conversation about Glen as if it had happened the day before, the Rick/Shane conversation at the intersection).   The writers gave him the 'out' when they had him say he knew her but she didn't ever notice him back then...but that's pretty convenient.

One thing, though...if this kid knew Maggie and knew about the farm, isn't it possible he had already mentioned it to the other folks in his group before he was maimed and captured?  I don't think they're safe just because they didn't let him go back to the others.  The Philly guys seemed to have an idea that they were holed up in a farm or something, so I think the other group probably has some familiarity with the local geography.  Now that they know there are others, they'll surely keep looking for Rick's group.  I have no doubt that our group will have to head for the hills very very soon.  I wonder if the finale will be this season's version of the 'escape from the CDC'...

Ah, thanks. Speaking of getting scratched, I don't see how they all haven't taken in enough blood and spit and intestine juice from those things to be zombified a thousand times over if it's blood and fluid-borne.

Yeah, every time they shoot a zombie at close range, my first thought is "but what about the brain mist?!?!"

I was thinking that myself when Rick and Shane kept cutting their hands ... and then using those hands to kill zombies. I'd be trying to keep cuts and scrapes to a minimum, guys.

Also: an infuriating and yet interesting exchange between what used to be a stay-at-home mom and a single, childless career woman.

As always, UGH LORI.

I thought Andrea could have made a better case against Lori - it's pretty clear that Andrea has romantic interest in Shane, and her "boyfriend" comment turned what was a valid argument into a case of sour grapes, and undermined Andrea's self-sufficience and independence by suggesting her whole beef with Lori is rooted in the fact that Lori's hogging all the men rather than frustration with Lori's Betty-Draper-Queen-Of-The-Hive thing.

Why drag Shane and Rick all the way out to the school, have Shane punk Rick in the face, the knuckle-grinder of a battle fit for the Disney stunt show, and even put Rick in the perfect, justified position to pull a Shane-to-Otis on Shane? I know, I know, Rick represents 'humanity' and 'rule of law' and all that, but come on. What a fish story of a conflict. All we got out of it is Rick is still in charge, "for now", and we wait another episode or two before they dispatch Shane. Do it, man, just do it.

Not to mention the smooth move of opening up what had been a sealed-in fence, unleashing more walkers on wherever they are. Least they could have done is tidied up after them.
