Totally missed that one.

Kinda looked like Will Arnett with that, "I'll help you" line.  That would be cool to see him in this flick.

Looks watchable anyway . . .

when i saw ving in it i was thrown off a bit since he was in the dawn remake.  i was wondering how in the hell his character made it from the island attack at the end of dawn to the colorado setting of the day film but looks like he is a diff character and just needed the work i guess.  mena suvari isnt exactly going to be very convincing as an army officer and neither is nick drumline bitch cannon, but yea this looks watchable and should be good for a few laughs at some zombie splatter.

and to cross ref a thread in case some of you zombie lovers didnt see it, dads garage has a zombie musical showing right now thru july 5th.  really funny and well worth the money.

watched it tonight.  disappointed that it wasnt will arnett cause he would have been way better in that role.  so the acting was terrible but man oh man it was some good laughable zombie gore.  they arent the slow moving ones either and can really haul some ass like in 28 days.  totally laughed my ass off at one line which some of you will really appreciate....wait for it....wait for it....ok here it is....."that's not mom anymore".  thats right.  it was in it.  anyway, totally worth it for you zombie flick watchers so stick it in your queues and get it in.  there is a really funny twist with one of the zombies but i wont ruin it for you.

i watched the 1990 remake of night of the living dead this weekend.  had never heard of it but saw it listed in the free movies section on comcast on demand so checked it out.  turns out they redid romeros original almost shot for shot.  gore effects were modest and nothing to get excited about.  it did star Tony Todd who you will recognize from the Candyman flicks.  all in all nothing really big here with this one other than watching romeros original in color instead of bw with minimal improvements to the splatter.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100258/

speaking of Tony Todd, turns out the rumor out there is there will be a Dawn of the Dead 2 which will follow the adventures of the same folks from the shopping mall.  apparently they will alter the original ending so that they dont get eaten on the island when they get there in order to have a basis for the story.  Tony Todd is speculated to play the lead in that film.

Flight of the Dead:  fast forward the first 30 minutes.  they are useless and totally irrelevant.  the next hour only gets marginally better.  cast had a few hotties, but alas, no T&A at all.  wtf?  srsly?  it's a b rate horror film with no skin.  minimal on the splatter effects too.  looked like they were computer generated with a friggin Atari 2600.  few funny zombie nomnom moments but not worth the hour and a half of torture to see em.  if you need to find another newer zombie flick to catch, i would say do the day of the dead remake before this one.  didnt even get the zombies on this plane line.  i mean come on.  its a clear knockoff of snakes on a plane and everyone knows it.  why deny it.  just say the damn line.  would have been the only halfway decent 10 seconds in this 90 minutes of crap.

you mean the Mina Suvari one?  i saw that last weekend on Netflix (love the new watch instantly feature) and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
not only did that one have "fast zombies", it had "crawl on walls and ceilings (but only when it is convenient to the plot) zombies".   :-\

you can see my review earlier on this one.  didnt say it was good, just saying it was better than the plane one.  if someone is fresh out of zombie flicks to watch and trying to figure out which one out of the newest stuff out then its not a total waste to watch and way better than this piece of garbage.  the ceiling zoombie action is a little bit ridiculous but its Day has some good splatter action.

next up on my list of zombie flicks to watch is a redo called Night of the Living Dead 3D.   http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489244/   it looks bad but does have Sid from the Rob Zombie films.
