I'm totally hooked!  What rooms are you hanging out in?

My favorites:

I Gotta Rock And Roll
Garage Punk, Power Pop, Snobbery

Strange Music For Strange People
In here now and it's the best.  Kraftwerk, Cibo Matto, The Fall . . . anything that I can throw at them!

BBQSteve Room
Being civil and egging each other on, my take.  Only thing I'm into going on that early anyway.!

I jump around a lot, any room where there is an open DJ spot really.
Thanks to Enduser for turning me on to it.  My handle there is Mix Master Monchichi.

They're going to have to do some serious re-architecting in order to keep the RIAA off their ass and shutting them down.  You can use a scraper to grab any mp3 that is being played.  It's a pretty cool product, though I haven't been back in there in a few weeks.

Well won't a scraper grab audio from anywhere?  This is basically the cloud licsence thing as I understand it.  The labels get a tiny kickback each time a song is played.  And there is a link to buy songs.
But yeah, something has to give.  Lots of ads, pay service or completely shut down are the likely outcomes as I see it.  Enjoy it while it lasts.

Artists need to get paid, so it needs to be legitimate in that regard, but this thing makes listening to music with people more fun than it has been for a long time.  Plus, I've put several new to me artists on my 'go buy' list in the past few days!

Also, it's pretty much why I finally started Facebooking.

not scraping as in recording whatever goes across your audio card, they are serving up raw mp3s to you.  you can use a debugger, like charles, to find the filepath to the mp3 and save it directly.

From the FAQ:

Are we eventually going to be able to have an account if we aren't on Facebook?

Saw them a lot ~96-97.  Have to say that I lost interest over the years though.  My favorite in his group was Jullian Schnibel (sp?) though.  Multi-instrumentalist, who usually played more than one thing at once, wore a helmet with chimes on his head.

Where's he playing, Athens?

Room is rockin' right now, btw.  Last songs:

Pussy Stank
Andre Williams - 2:53

Juke
Little Walter - 2:42

sharks around blood
McDonald & Sherby - 5:17

Kidnapper
Jack Oblivian - 3:33

Cissy Strut
The Meters - 3:02

Stretchin' Out
Dominic Frontiere - 2:27

The Dream
Thee Oh Sees - 6:42

The Lonely Bull
Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass - 2:46

Theme from Taxi Driver (Reprise)
Bernard Herrmann - 2:21

No Birds
Cheveu - 2:44

The Book I Read
Talking Heads - 4:10

Empty Trash Bag
Feeling Of Love, The - 3:49

Girlfriend
Phoenix - 3:24
