Dr. Dog's new album Fate...gearing up for Earl show next month.  It sounds like a mini-tribute to every classic rocker from Van Morrison to T.Rex to the Band to the Beach Boys to the Beatles, but still manages to be a very thematically tight album.

Well, after a late night latte  :([ , it was a dance party in the kitchen to the entire new Girl Talk CD.  I think I sweated out most of what I had for dinner...I hope so anyway.

Gaunt!  I think there's only one other buzzer who's gonna have a clue about them, and I haven't seen her post for a while.  Great selection!!!!

Here's some newer stuff I've got on heavy rotation:

Hey Uni, check the Mark Sultan link, I'm pretty sure that could be your new jam!

Right on.  Always looking for something good to listen to.

It amazes me the number of people that liked a lot of those 90s bands from Ohio.

Sultan's cool, but I think I might like the Black and Whites better! They have a 70's UK garage punk thing going on.

Damn, that Mark Sultan is good.  If you like that style, you may like (or perhaps already know about) a local band called The Booze.  I think they have a free show at Graveyard in a couple of weeks.  Good stuff.

To me, clowns aren’t funny. In fact, they’re kinda scary. I’ve wondered where this started, and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus and a clown killed my dad.

I never heard of none of this crap!  Do they play those kinds of bands on Z93 classic rock?  Or 96 Rock?  Or Power99, uuuh, I mean 99X now, New Alternative, whatever.
Everyone knows rock achieved perfection with the first Bad Company release.  Don't really need much after that.

Ocassionally at work people leave promo copies of various CDs out on the break room table.  A few weeks back i picked up a CD by Santogold.

It is really good.
