I know the attorney representing these folks on this, and he was mentioning some stuff he was doing for them the other day. They wouldn't be paying him if this wasn't moving forward, but I guess it's just moving at a glacial pace.
If he gets an MLB contract, all is forgiven.

Talked to several employees yesterday evening and Brick Store GP is definitely moving forward.  They're a bit behind on the build-out phase but as JBB stated, OtterSpace (what they call themselves) has applied for permits.

It's nice to see projects such as this finally moving forward.

So my wife and I noticed on our runs this weekend that this building got a fresh paint job.  I believe the Brick Store is no longer coming to this location...anyone know what's up here?

Per Ormewood Park listserv, the building is now for sale and Brick Store is not coming to the neighborhood.

Drove by yesterday, and they have somewhat graded the land behind the building. Looks like they could fit upwards of three cars back there. All they have to do is remove a few trees from the brick work and they should be good to go....

Sad about Brickstore moving on...it would have been a great plus for the neighborhood.

Always curious about how they would have parked patrons.  Just go to that intersection on a Sunday morning and you'll see what traffic can be like when you have several dozen cars trying to park on the street within a block of the intersection.  I can only imagine what a clusterfarg it would be on a 'perfect storm' weekend with the Summer Shade fest, regular church service and a popular restaurant all trying to park on Ormewood and Confederate.

When they were looking at moving into the neighborhood, the church was empty, and (from what I understood) the plan was to lease parking from the church property owner.  The church that is meeting there now has moved in since then.
