We had a surprisingly awesome dinner there last night for my husband's birthday! We were trying to go to Parish to satisfy his craving for their ridiculously good Cajun shrimp appetizer but they were cowed for a private party. On the way out, trying to think of a place to eat, we passed Park's Edge and decided to stop. Sooooo glad we did!
We started with a fabulous and well priced ($32) syrah/cab//malbec blend and they brought out great bread with roasted garlic. For appetizers, we ordered the Thai mussels (perfectly balanced spice and coconut in a great, not thin or greasy, broth) which were cooked just right, and the tuna crudo (a huge portion of tuna, again perfectly seasoned, on ripe avocado and tomatoes). Both were delicious. For my entree, I got the scallops over mushroom risotto and M got the sea bass over asparagus with garlic mashed potatoes with a spicy romesco sauce. Again, both were perfectly cooked and seasoned and were delicious. For dessert, we ordered the molten caramel cake with house made vanilla bean ice cream (which they comped).
With two more glasses of wine, the entire bill was $110. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the chef, Jorge, checked on us twice. I'm happy to say that will be one of our new spots! And supposedly they have a great brunch! Two clappy guys up!
