R&N Auto Shop
« on: February 14, 2012, 04:41 pm »
I wanted to give a plug to R&N Auto Shop 2465 Moreland Ave SE Atlanta, GA 30316 phone 404-627-2900.  I wanted to try them a few times before I gave them a ringing endorsement.

Last year, I bought a new car battery from O'Reilly's.  They couldn't install it for me but the employee referred me to R&N Auto Shop and said that they could install it for me.  The building looked very sketchy from the outside.  However, the owner Reggie was very nice and installed the new battery in 5 mins.

I had them install my front brakes this past October and they only charge $40 (if you purchase the parts - if they purchase the parts it is $80 for the parts and labor).  The following month, my car's check enging light came on (come to find out the error code was common problem - gas cap) and I subsequently failed my emissions test.  I took my car to the R&N shop and Mr. Reggie cleared the code and advised me to drive around for a week or 50 miles, which ever comes first, in order for the system to reset itself.  Then to bring the car back and he can test it again.  I drove around that same day in order to reach the 50 mile mark.  I took the car back later that day and Mr. Reggie did another reading and the error code did not appear.  He filled out my paperwork.  I had the car's emission retested the following day and passed.

Today, I went back to have them install my back breaks.  I purchased the brake pads in advance.  I was in and out in less than 45 mins. and that is with one other guy ahead of me who was getting his front brakes done.  I am so happy my car will no longer be squealing up and down Moreland.  I highly recommend R&N Auto Shop.  If you bring them the parts they will only charge you for the labor.  Or if you prefer, you can have them order the parts and pay for the parts and labor.

Is this a hijacked Buzz account or just a very organized endorsement?

Where's this at - south of Custer?

Naw, a very organized endorsement.  :)

Yes, it is south of Custer.  Headed south on Moreland it is in that stretch of land I call no man's land in between the Starlight Drive-In and the ramp to 285.  It is almost at the intersection of Constitution Rd. and Moreland.

Maru32 great plug!  My husband and I have been going to Reggie @ R&N for over 5 years and we have always had positive results.

I have a 1999 Volkswagen and he has fixed:  tire rods, brakes, struts, tune-up, timing belt, etc...   I do not know all the repairs my husband has had done on his 1999 Explorer, but here are a few:  fixed non-opening electric windows, non-working air conditioner, brakes.

Currently my husband has tasked Reggie to "rebuild" his 1989 Ford Ranger that has been sitting dead in the drive way for 3 years (new engine, paint, bump out the dents, etc...).  I do not know what they negotiated on a price, it was towed there last week.

Reggie is very fair and reliable.  Kudos to Reggie and R&N!
