Question for recyclers in UniD
« on: February 12, 2012, 06:18 pm »
Where do you keep your giant blue bag (as you are filling it up)? Mine has been in 3-4 spots and I just can't figure out an efficient and easy system. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

We keep a seperate regular size trashcan in the house with the blue bag in it.  The bin is not really big enough for the bag but the convienence makes up for it and gives enough extra when we are through to tie it up.  We have done this since we moved here and we have just started on our second box of bags in over 3 years.

Whether through forgetfulness or the desire to get as much into the bag as possible, it is usually quite a struggle to get the thing to the curb. I've even tried cutting the bag to try to get two smaller ones, but the dimensions of it make that impossible.

I use the blue bag to line the blue bin.  I don't pull the bin to the curb, only the bag.  I leave the cardboard loose.  They never fail to pick up my loose cardboard, but the blue bag MUST be in attendance.
Or maybe they're happy and content, living their little donut lives until the monstrous humans come along to rip their doughy flesh open with their teeth, sucking up their jelly innards.

I have never used the blue bags since i originally ran out and they always pick up all my stuff as long as the blue bin accompanies all my stuff.
Yes, I agree, with that I knew someone close that smoked and went to chewing tobacca. Used a spit can which was yuck, and then the door of his car.~Denise

We hang our blue bag across a set of four coat-hooks. Works pretty well... when it's so full that it tears through the bag, we know it's time to put up a new bag.
Next time you drink a homebrew, thank Jimmy Carter, who on October 14, 1978 signed H.R.1337 legalizing homebrewing in the United States.

Where do you hang it?

So, can we just put our beer bottles in the blue recycle bin then??  That would be great!!!!
