Friends, we are in the midst of an epidemic
« on: August 07, 2011, 01:13 pm »
Starting upwards of two weeks ago, someone's dog has begun to take the pleasure of pooping on our sidewalks. Fine. That is the dog's prerogative. But the owner has to pick that up right? I get the temptation to leave a poop here and there in some monkey grass or wooded area. We are all human. But poop in the middle of the sidewalk!?! Seriously! Woodland is most badly under fire as of this moment. We are talking ten lumps scattered.

I can't take it. I can't be stressed about stepping in crap on my walks. Can we find this culprit and bring him or her to justice? And no I don't mean the dog, I mean the owner. And yes, I have stepped in it once. And yes, I did have to clean my hardwoods. And yes, I do think it is weird that a dog would like concrete over grass.

You know what? I've seen dog crap all around on sidewalks lately! I noticed it too and wondered why it was there, it is a bit unusual for the area.

Not on the sidewalk, but I did find piles of poo in my yard on both frontages when I was mowing Friday. And that's unusual.

I think the conclusion is obvious - a Giant PooBeast has invaded our neighborhoods.

I've noticed it, too. And it's not a small dog doing it.

And yes, I do think it is weird that a dog would like concrete over grass.

We have a rescue about 8 months old.  Big hound.  She cannot STAND to walk in the grass when it gets too long or when it is wet at all.  We have to coax her into the grass to do her business in our yard.  She rarely poos on walks but when she does, it is in the grass  :(~ and we always clean it up.

Unfortunately this ain't new.  We've been stepping around poop for probably more than a year.  It seems like its coming from someone walking their dog since the poo is rarely in a pile but usually staggered along the sidewalk as if the owner thinks the dog will stop pooping by dragging them along.  That being said I've never seen it happen just come across the aftermath.

Haha, glad to see I'm not alone.  Mine prefers my house over wet grass any day.  I have to drag him out into the yard when the grass is wet.
