
One of my various and as-yet unsettled-on opinions of this is that QT would be awesome competition for the craptastic fueling/beering/lotterying stations in our area.

and I failed to articulate this point with LOTJ the other day over a lunch at Cake Hag... that the only way to run out the lesser inconvenience stores is through healthy competition. A competition I wish Ale Yeah! could have participated in, but that's another thread.
Yes, I'd rather a QT replace (geographically) any of a number of existing businesses closer to I-20.
Yes, I think QT is a massive improvment over Jiffy Grocery.
No, that's not what I'd prefer to see on that corner, given some hypothetical choice granted by the Land Use and Development Fairy.
there might be enough land zoned C-1 commercial for the QT to waltz through the building permit process, but if they need to rezone the house on Hall Avenue then that would trigger a couple levels of public review & input.
