*Sigh*
Let's see what's proposed there next.
Or not. Dilapidated ramshackle ain't so bad, now that I think about it.
The agent we've been dealing with in our house browsing had already heard a lot of concern from folks about the potential QT there, particularly when looking at the two homes that were for sale directly behind that site on Woodland. It certainly weighed heavy on our minds when looking.
If you move to 724 Woodland you will have outstanding neighbors.....
We've looked at that. Also looked at 720 when it was listed and that house had probably the worst layout I've seen so far. Really awkward setup. We were surprised it sold, actually.
It did not sell, they are renting it out.
Ah. On all outward appearances it was nice...and even the inside was in good shape and updated. The layout was the killer, though. Made for some awkward spaces and the 'flow' going from room to room was not planned logically.
That is because it used to be a duplex. The master bedroom was once a kitchen. I like the house though and love the tall ceilings and big front porch. I have had many a beer on that porch...
And this makes it different from all other porches in the neighborhood how?
It doesn't I just like the front porch. I wish our porch was that big and roomy with a ceiling fan.
Well, I vote that if a seasoned veteran OP porch drinker prefers that porch for porch drinking, you should just show up there with some beer and get to it. When the tenants question your actions, just tell them that you are the OP front porch sitter/beer-drinker, and if the requirement to allow you on the premises is not in their lease, tell them it is implicit in any rental agreement in the 'hood, and they need to take it up with their landlord if they don't like it.
