Not long ago, I went to the P.O. at opening time, and waited 15 minutes until we started banging on the door.  Patty Royal stuck her head out, yelled at us for disturbing her, and slammed the door again.  Ten minutes later, she deigned to grace us with her presence at the service counter, while telling us how lucky we were to get any service at all.  How far would your business get with that service?

BTW:  if the staff knows the auditor, doesn't that affect the service?  Like having a restaurant reviewer spotted, the staff fawns all over them.

I might just have low expectations (it is a Post Office, after all) but I have been really impressed with the service there. Honestly, it is probably the friendliest, most helpful PO I've ever used. I mail things a few times a month in there, and although the lines can be long, I enjoy the service I receive. The older guy with the braids isn't always the cheeriest guy to interact with, but all the ladies there are always super nice to me. Maybe I'm just their type?  :(~

Not my experience at all.  Generally there's a line out the door, one person at the counter and what sounds like a Cinco de Mayo party in back.  The people in line are almost always the type that wait until they are at the counter to seal their boxes and write the addresses...or are there to buy eight money orders for $40 using only ones and dimes.
Only one time in the past four or five years have I ever gotten out of their in less than five minutes.  On average it's more often like ten or fifteen minutes.
