Looking for a good garage (car repair)
« on: December 27, 2011, 01:19 pm »
Brand new to the area and Atlanta, so finding my way around.
I'm looking for a good, reputable, honest and conscientious independent garage (I'm not a big fan of dealerships, though I'll use them if I have to). Subaru Outback.

Thanks!

I've always had great work done at Ride On auto-repair on Chester off of Memorial.

Second vote for Ride-on. He is very honest and upfront and will charge you fairly. To wit, we went in with a few things that were minor and he refused to charge us. I guess the best way to put it is that we just bought a new outback and have 2 years free maintenance but will still pay to take it to Chris (ride on owner) as I trust him more than the dealer.  Lastly, I think he used to work at a Subi dealer.
When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Ride on is great.  my car was overheating and it was right at closing and he got me up and running right away for a tiny price.
Yes, I agree, with that I knew someone close that smoked and went to chewing tobacca. Used a spit can which was yuck, and then the door of his car.~Denise

Based mainly on the recommendations posted here, I took my little car over there and Chris was awesome.  Very reasonable and fair and quick.  Nice work.
