Please vote for our FUGLY bathroom

Dear Neighbors,

When we fell in love with our 2 bed 1 bath 1925 bungalow, we knew it needed some love.  One of the areas that needed loving was the bathroom, which appears to have been a victim of a DIY-er who was in love with "Spanish" tile. 

We were not anticipating, however, to within one year replace the furnace AND our roof.  Hence, for the past year, we've endured one of the ugliest bathrooms I've ever witnessed. 

Fortunately, Sawhorse Construction has created a makeover contest for the ugliest bathroom in Atlanta, and not-so-shockingly, our bathroom made the initial "cut."  But we need lots of votes to win.  If you are on facebook, and if you have 2 seconds to spare, and if you kind enough to help a neighbor out, we would greatly appreciate you going to this link and voting for Bathroom #9 (the Roberts residence):

Thank you for agreeing with me about how ugly it is.  I actually have kind-hearted friends who try to tell me "I kind of like it."   

There is no rhyme or reason to the tiles.  And don't you love how the window and shower shared space?  Maybe we should enter one of those "When DIY goes wrong" shows...

There is no rhyme or reason to the tiles.  And don't you love how the window and shower shared space?  Maybe we should enter one of those "When DIY goes wrong" shows...

Man...we coulda been a contender two plus years ago.  Coulda saved a wad o' cash too.

In our home browsing over the last few months, it's truly amazed me just how many houses have windows IN the shower.  Not just old houses where the shower was obviously a retrofit...but also in a lot of houses that were built in the last three decades.  WTF people?  Why would you put a window in your shower?  I can see having a high window about 7 or 8 feet up...but waist high?  Your condition is actually not quite as bad as some of the ones I've seen.

same here!  man our bathroom really was the worst.  And the realtor was like, "She did this all herself!"...mmmm, you don't say...

That sink is wretched. So, I liked #9. Is that how you vote?  There was nothing telling me what to do.

Yes, it's counter-intuitive, but "liking" it is actually voting for it as being ugly. 

THANK YOU for helping us.    There are a lot of bathrooms in the competition that need fixing, and some with pretty compelling stories, but with the support of friends & neighbors, I'm hoping that we are serious contenders.
