I see there is a sign in the vacant building next to The Glenwood. Is this bakery cafe really going to happen?

That's chef Frankie from Nawlins new bakery.  He's been working on it for a while, gave out samples at Taste of EAV.

That would be good to have something with a bakery and cafe.

There was a dispo warrant tacked on the door this morning. Hopefully it's something that can get straightened out. Or is this not happening now either?  :-\

I walked by today and some people were cleaning out the place.  They said they were looking for a new tenant.

I was afraid of that. Frankie rather disappeared after Gravity went under, and the rumors of a N'awlins brunch @ ESL never materialized.

That's a bummer. I was really hoping Frankie would still open the bakery even if he couldn't continue w/N'awlins.

awesome dude who made awesome food. damn shame the multiple levels of screwery that transpired over a few weeks to halt everything. hope he lands on his feet and can begin moving back in the right direction.
