Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand
« on: November 10, 2010, 08:00 am »
Anyone heard about this yet?  New concept by Delia Champion of Flying Biscuit fame and the proprietors of The Porter, apparently coming soon to EAV.

Someone else told me about that as well.  As long as it's not a bar and there's no smoking I'm all for it.   ;D

Is this the meat processing place we speculated about awhile back?

Yeah, easy for you to say.  You're never actually HERE to do any shopping.

They came to an EACA meeting this summer with samples.  I didn't try the sausage, but it did smell good.

I heard from a friend they are trying to open in the Supreme Fish Delight building, but I don't know if that is still a go.

All the boutique owner ladies know me well!  Not my fault we have a Target a mile away and peeps love target!  Mnyaaah!

You know what I'd really shop at?  If all of the crafties in EAV started squatting in the old Antiques building and selling their wares!  I would have super cute Lorigami sweaters, (more) awesome pot holders, quilts, aprons, plates and other quirky items from Mr Man, all my friends' babies' gifts from Atank, jewelry, beer, etc.   That type of shopping would be singularly and wonderfully EAV!  THAT would be pre or post dinner stroll worthy!

Until then, keep eating, Folks!!   |@|

Agreed! I would do a ton of gift-buying at a place like that. Like an Etsy store. Kinda like Beehive.

But I'm all for chicken sausage.  The pigs in a blanket at the Biscuit are amazing.

Love the chicken sausage,  ATank and me were at Kroger one cold morning buying meat and they had the Chicken sausage  samples, mmmm mmmm good.
I'm happy to hear about Delia opening up in East Atlanta and I'm also very happy about Boners too. It's good to be in EAV!!!!

They already do (in moderation, of course). It's just that the nanny-state won't let 'em even around it in public. Plus, J gets a little twitchy when others can light up and he can't.

Back to topic, I like Delia. She's a good egg and (in my experience) likes to do right by the neighborhood. Question: what, if any, are the negative implications for Cal and Doria?
Sarcasm: the ability to insult idiots without them realizing it.

By adding to the restaurant and foodie cachet of the neighborhood?  I think no negative effect.
