GoSox is corky

Corky (adj.), inappropriately correct speller; (proper noun), Down's Syndrome child from 1990's television series, Life Goes On, played by actor, Chris Burke.

A late night drunk food spot, but also lots of foot traffic.  I see the span from the Graveyard to the Chicken Stand being a robbery/stickup super highway.

I see it lined with pedestrians hit by speeding cars.

LEED Certified and Chicken Sausage Stand for late night drunks does not mesh...I mean, who the hells gonna care?   I don't advocate grammar policing, but that is pretty horrible. ( I said “gonna” on purpose.)

Aw, why can't we just be thankful/excited that someone is opening up a new business in our area and taking a chance that our drunk asses will want to eat their chicken sausage? I mean, I know we are a vigilant bunch when it comes to fighting crime, but should we be predicting a crime spree before one even happens? Maybe some additional pedestrian traffic down Glenwood will be a good thing - I know I always like seeing other folks walking the same route when I go to and from the village on foot.

Not sure if this is an update, but after reading the article:

Quote
Located at 489 Moreland avenue, this brick and mortar location will support a fleet of street trucks which will serve chicken sausage throughout Metro Atlanta and beyond.

So, street trucks coming to us?   <:)~
No robbery super highway?   :)%

I appreciate the concern but increased foot traffic by non-crackheads should reduce crime on that particular end of Moreland.   Not to mention that it will eliminate one of the places that the "walkers" go to feed.

I also wonder if the check cashing place next door could be the next to fall.   It's a good space and actually has some parking.  Isn't that building owned by Cartel?

that would be great.  i believe there's still a plan to straighten out glenwood ave at that intersection, which is going to affect buffalo china and it's parking lot, but i'd assume it would not affect the check cashing building.  along w/ dance 411, it's starting to clean up a bit there.

A while back while we were discussing the roundabout-to-be by Happy Donuts, someone (Lord of the Jungle, if memory serves) mentioned that the Glenwood re-alignment was going to happen on the east side of Moreland, not the west.  This surprised me given the large lot for Buffalo China, so I checked it out, and (I believe) confirmed that the west side of Glenwood is not moving, just the east side.

Anyone care to confirm?

this is a hell of a threadjack i started...but...if that's true, it seems our favorite refurbished tire/shiny rim business may be most affected, which i'm alright with...as long as it doesn't affect the strip of businesses to the immediate east.

I don't think so...I recall the latest alignment showing west side shifted south a bit and east side shifted north a bit.
