I'm confused.  Has it sold again?  Because we went  in July and the menu was like 3 pages of awesome.

This. Even early last month.  :(~

I don't has the facebook.  But I look forward to seeing what they have, however, this better not be a glenwood situation where they take all the yummy off the menu.

DUDE!

James, did you eat?  They have the best bar food in EAV now, IMO, and I am a staunch Flatironist.

tatumc, what did you get?

Last time I went in there, there weren't many people, BUT I was in there at 5PM, looking for eats.

Oh, also can you explain more re: the shadow thing?  Like were there just not many people?

First off, the current menu was printed on a piece of paper with a note saying to bear with them while they develop a real one.  It had maybe 6 things on it, 4 of which were burgers of some sort, wings and maybe something else.

I ordered a burger (medium) with cheese only.  It came with a side of "home-sliced chips", which were way over cooked and tasted like salted burnt grease.  My burger came out closer to well done and didn't taste like it was seasoned at all.  Totally not worth $7.

We had a good time though, shooting the shit with Slim and watching Midnight Special.

Oh no! That's sad. We had just started eating there again a  few months ago and the food was actually pretty good (given you know it's bar food and not healthy at all, lol yes, the tater tots are crack). I hope they don't scrap the whole thing. I thought the "new" owners had been there for a year or so? Or did it get sold again?

The new owner is Ed.  He has had the place for a few months now.  Maybe close to a year.  The new menu looks great and I have had fantastic food there.
Also over the weekend, 2 of their employees were deployed over seas and one of their bartenders got married, so lots of transition.  They are doing some renovations to make the basement legal for shows.  Last night was a dead night.  Not sure why.  The place is a great 'regulars' bar and I love it.  If dark and scary is not your thing, try the Glenwood next door.

I liked Gravity better when Richard and Dorsey owned it, Burrito Art was next door, there were motorcycles in Graveyard, and The Sherriff roamed EAV. Thank Jeebus at least one thing has remained constant!

That's right, I'm old. Now get off my fucking lawn because this drought is killing it and I can't afford to pay CoA for water since they hooked up that new-fangled water meter thing.

Which one?  Is there a motorcycle in graveyard I'm not aware of?

Pre "bar Graveyard" it was the "Motorcycle Graveyard" filled with old bike and bike parts.

I thought I saw The Sheriff roaming recently. Was it a figment of my aged mind?

Dude, let Paulie have his little dream. Now you've gone and ruined it for him - he might as well move to Alpharetta.

+1 and I used to WORK at the Cycle City and Graveyard on Saturdays when there was little else in the village but Ace Hardware (in the current Grant Central location), Abe's mattress emporium in the theater and ... well actually that was just about all that was there.

You worked at Cycle City? Awesomeness right there. About what year would Ace have still been in the Grant Central spot?

1988, 89 ... can't recall when it moved. The old store was a general store all the way. Big rebel flag behind the counter. I recall buying something and yammering on about the north with a thick northern accent. The lady behind the counter (mullet and flannel) stepped to one-side and pointed to a sign that read,

"There will be a 20% surcharge for any goddamn Yankees coming in here talking about how much bigger, better and faster they build things up North."
