They started build out in the Spring and were really good at running over and telling people not to park in that lot because they'd get towed, earlier in the year. The people who run it are  nice, and they did a great job of signage there on the lot. If that lot has signage and they can rent it privately, I have no problem with it at all. I just hope they open soon! My friend tried their food at the Strut and said it was really fantastic! They are supposed to have a mini-golf on the back patio!!

So, they're NOT open yet and they have towing signs in the parking lot?   ::)
Or maybe they're happy and content, living their little donut lives until the monstrous humans come along to rip their doughy flesh open with their teeth, sucking up their jelly innards.

Perhaps it means they are opening very soon. I heard a few months ago they were just waiting for full licensing.

What it means to me is they can tow 55 cars from that lot at any given time.  I think that sounds fishy.

I don't think I'll be spending my money at an EAV business that operates with this policy:

Yeah...I think the same goes for me.  I guess that is why I was surprised I hadn't heard of them...though them not being open yet is obviously the main reason.  This certainly is not a good first impression. Usually there is early pre-opening chatter on the Buzz, though...

There's been some chatter, but it's been sort of quiet. I remember asking them on Halloween when they will open.

Now I don't care, as I won't be giving any business to Ilan Breeze as long as the operate this parking lot that's much more parking than they can use under the promise of towing anybody who parks there who is not an Ilan Breeze customer.

there seems to be some incongruity here...

Different people can hold different beliefs. I won't support a business with such an anti-Village stance.

I imagine one's perspective on towing in the Village changes when one becomes the beneficiary of towing fees.

Not referring to you and FL...I'm referring to the fact that her post states they were helpful in warning folks away from the booters, which is almost in direct conflict to their own posted intent to tow.

Right now I don't know what there intent is or why they posted what they have. Perhaps they have some sort of insurance on the lot? I have no idea but if they have the right to make it private, and the lot is not designated to be providing spaces for everyone else, then I guess they have the right to do as they may. Anyone can choose to patronize as they prefer.

I know permits require you have a certain amount of parking spots. It could be they rented the parking lot because they needed the spaces to open and the owner of the parking lot put up the signs. I'd like to hear their side of the story.
