Good Grief.
What a bunch of whiny, little bitches.
If they lease the lot, ya know with hard earned $$, then why in the world would they want to let the freeloaders park there? I wouldn't.
And when those that are ready to spend some real money in the village on dinner, let's just say $60-$80, we want to be able to drive up and park beside the restaurant.
Otherwise we'll take our business to The Shed or H. Harper Station, etc. And that would only hurt the struggling village.
So, yes, property rights should be respected.
Struggling? Nah. At least no more than any other place right now. Actually, given the number of new businesses combined with thriving ones, I'd say we're alright. The real problem here is that you are unhappy that you have to drive to the village. Move here, and you will be cheerful once again, my friend. (no matter the parking situation)
