You know, the one next to that new $10 thrift store. They open for business?

I don't think so.  Maybe they will show up at the eaca meeting again Tuesday.  If so I will ask.

On my way to SoBa on Friday and the owner stopped us to talk about the restaurant.  He was very nice and I liked his excitement to be in the village.  Sounds like it's going to be a mix of authentic Caribbean with soul food.  He took us on a tour of the renovations and it's shaking out nicely in there.  There will be nightly entertainment specials and themes.  It looks like it's going to be opening pretty soon - they are just waiting on permits.

Did you ask if he really plans to tow people from his parking lot?

Seems like this has been "coming soon" forever... at least since summer...  believe it when I see it.

I did ask him and he said absolutely not, his response was that the previous booting was from the owners of the lot.  He had to rent the lot and put signage up to meet the required parking spaces to operate out of the space.  He has said that everyone is welcome to park there unless he has a specific event at the restaurant that needs the parking like a private party, rehearsal dinner, etc...

That's good to hear, but i hope he puts up different signs on those special event nights so nobody gets a surprise tow.
