Old Wachovia building/ now Tomatillos
« on: July 22, 2011, 06:44 am »
I met an old friend from high school who is opening the new burrito place in the old wachovia building.  She said her boyfriend worked at Tortilla's for years, so it will be similar.  These are not the West inn/ Curb market folks.  They are scheduled to open in 3 weeks and said the menu will mirror the old Tortillas.
If this is indeed a fact, go ahead and get me one of those hover round chairs cuz I'm getting ready to pack on some pounds!!!
Anyway, when walking around the village, stop by and say hello.  I think this could be a great addition to the village!

Eric Kaiser (Grant Central owner) is opening it. It will be called Tomatillos apparently. Is your old friend partnering with him I wonder or maybe managing?  And yes, three weeks to opening is what Eric told me.  Nom.

Oh? Cool. Perhaps I can get to that one since I can't seem to get to the Jamaican place next to the big EAV cock.

Nope. Everyone seemed nice and friendly there though! The guys who I spoke to were doing the remodeling, not the cookin'!

Brian Halloran is the person I know.  Do we need to start packing burritos on dry ice to ship weekly to Aberdeen?  I can take care of that.  The burritos will start at $25.50 USD each, additions not included |:)|

I wouldn't say "another" Mexican, as Holy Taco doesn't exactly serve rice-stuffed burritos.
Or maybe they're happy and content, living their little donut lives until the monstrous humans come along to rip their doughy flesh open with their teeth, sucking up their jelly innards.

Awesome!  I used to stop by Tortillas on my way home from school almost every day.  I was so sad when they closed.  El Myr has been tiding me over ever since, but it isn't quite the same.

Jamaican sounds good.  Any more details?  I love Tropical Flavor on Moreland.   Very tasty :)
