I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity but they've always worked for me.

I know right. ESPNu and NFL Network are not helping. Need to focus on yardwork or travel or something.

I'm trying really hard to get into College baseball but it's just not the same. I kinda hate this time of year.

I have trying as well. We're 33-13  but I probably will not get into until the conference tournament.

The new bats do not ping as much. Its a duller sound closer to the would sound.

LOL! I used a metal bat 30 years ago. I think we can let it go.

Funny, you don't look at old as my stepdad.

The bat thing doesn't really matter to me. The thing that makes college baseball much more enjoyable than MLB is the guys aren't the best 1,500 players in the world or whatever. There's a lot of excitement in not assuming a routine play is a routine play.

I grump much older than my years.  >:(

Those are the same things I like about college sports in general: football, hockey, soccer, basketball. I just can't get past the aluminum. They don't play on an 8' basket, why go with the juicer bats?

Bingo. Thats why they started using them decades ago. Wooden bats can get expensive once you have to replace them regularly.
