Nothing illegal about feeders during the off season and the hogs get a little tastier when they have a bit of corn in their diet.
While hunting, I think my average shot is less than 75yds.  For the most part a 30-30 will do just about anything you need here in GA and 7.62 Russian is great for hogs. I have needed more when hunting pulpwood land, fields and easements.  .308 will reach out very accurately but for the most part I just want to punch paper and ring steels.  My goal is sub MOA with hand loads at 300-450yds for now, but eventually I would like to build up to almost twice that range.

I'll have to look into Advanced Bullets, never been.  Usually hit the long range in Mansfield every once in a while, it is about the same distance from the village.  I have a spot on private land where I can set steels out to 500yds, but I don't want to wear out my welcome.  I'm really interested in the 300yd range at South River.

Here's a link for the range http://www.advancedbullets.com/

Yep... a 30-30 is plenty for anything in Ga.  I wish I had one... ammo for a .35Rem and a .300Savage are getting hard to find and they ain't cheap. I need to start reloading...

I know it's illegal to hunt deer over a feeder... not sure about hogs. The Ga DNR wants the coyote and hog populations reduced. Hogs destroy everything....

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity but they've always worked for me.

Nikon has those too now and I have wondered how good they were.  I think they would work pretty well as long as you set for a specific ammunition and don't change.
