Replace a Thunderbolt screen?
« on: January 19, 2012, 08:53 am »
Just dropped my phone as I was answering it and yes, it hit the floor *just right* and WHAM.  Anyone know someone who replaces screens?  Or where to get the factory part for it?  (Just watched the youtube of how to replace).

Pretty sure Nate (NFN) replaces iPhone screens, not sure about other smartphones, but probably worth a shot.

I've successfully replaced a few screens.  If you want to order the part through eBay or amazon (from somewhere in the US, and make sure it's the right version of the part), I'll come over and swap it for you.

Wear gloves to keep the finger oil off of internal glass surfaces.

I don't typically work on other phones than the iPhone and I don't sell parts, however I can get you the screen when I make my next order. It's $30 + shipping which should be around $4. That includes the adhesive that you will need to reattach the screen.

Let me know if you would like to get it for you. I will probably be placing an order today and will have it in stock by Saturday.

Also, I second what JBB says, definitely when repairing any of the newer smart phones, you want to wear latex gloves to prevent oils from coming in contact with sensors or with internal glass surfaces.

Yes please!  I need two of them. My daughter has broken hers as well.

Opti may try to do the fix, but we'll see.

Ok I will make the order, probably going to be Monday before they get here as I am not doing any orders for Saturday delivery at this point. If that changes, I will let you know.

PM me your number so I can text you when they come in?
