We're both very comfortable in our home offices.  I don't ever need to meet with clients locally; K occasionally does.  I could see K making use of an EAV meeting room from time to time (he typically just uses Flat Iron or Joe's, now).  Kevin also has a greater need for networking, etc., whereas in my industry pretty much everyone in the U.S. performing the similar line of service already knows each other.

He already has a remote administrative assistant, my sister, who lives over in Lithonia.  My office needs are limited, and it's no problem just handling them myself.

Thank you for the feedback everyone.

I'll drop some more thoughts in here as time goes on.

I just wanted to follow this up.

200 Office is opening up soon and they've asked me to be their Web Dev affiliate. This means I'll be hanging out at this coworking space helping out other members and offering my services through them.

They bought out the old macy's building at 200 peachtree and are almost done renovating the office space.

Check out more details here http://200-office.com

Check out my write up here http://bretphillips.com/atlanta-coworking-space-200-office

Let me know if anyone has any questions about 200 Office, I'll be happy to help you out if I can.

I would love to see a space like this in or near EAV. We could definitely use it for our wedding business.

Not to officially offer anything, but I am working on office space over in Martha Brown UMC on a currently un-used floor. There are acres of unused building space. This might be more of a project than most people are willing to get into, but I just thought I would throw it out there.

That said, I doubt my side of the second floor would be anything near 'quiet' if I am there. I am usually with an entourage of some sort, but there are other spots that will be empty and quieter. (Oh, and my space will have a room for kids to chill after school and such.)

If you are talking to me, I don't know about how awesome it is, but it's a possibility. I do not have authority to offer space there, and I made an arrangement to rent some space. There is plenty of space, and some of it is in useable condition. The space I chose is less useable than some of the other floors/buildings, but for what I am using it for now (storage) it works. Meanwhile I am working on making it a space were we can have regular office hours and occasional small events. The same floor as I am on has an adjacent side that is naturally partitioned into little offices. When I say 'project' I mean exactly that, though. This space hasn't been touched in about 20 years or so. Oh, and like I said, I do not have authority to 'sell' this space. I wouldn't mind being a go-between if any of you are interested in it, though.

To anyone attached to this thread (following it but not necessarily engaged in it):

Contact me this weekend with your desires for such a venture. No promises here, but I would like to know your intentions and your hopes.

I just came across this thread and noticed nobody had mentioned 151 Locust (151locust.com). It's on the east side of town, in Avondale Estates, and it provides the printing, reception services, coffee, etc. stuff too.

Not to undercut any enthusiasm around a space actually in EAV, of course. I think that would be great.

I would love a co-working space in the EAV. 151 Locust is great, but I'd much rather skip the drive to Avondale. I like a relatively quiet spot with a little "productive buzz" in the background, wifi, and printers.

Seems a natural extension for the copy center folks, if they are looking for something new to offer.

What's that place on memorial, the entreprenerium? Anyone know that story?
