Just saw this:  Papa John's coming to Moreland Ave:

Ah HAHAHAHAHAHA!  They had such huge hopes for that site...even went so far as to put in underground plumbing for townhouses.  Now, a Papa Johns.  What else will they do with all that space?  A QT perhaps?

It looks like they're talking about the plot between the old car wash and the dollar store.

Midway food, well, I am not a small man, and know my way around some pub food, and if going here I have to plan to pre-eat because the food is so bad.  Why not just get a neighborhood kiid that rides back and forth on a bike to Krystal, at least that would be good.

As for Grant Central, it was integral to our marriage.  On our third date I brought my future bride GC pizza, which we ate.  Which then made her sick.  Like really bad sick.  Like we considered burning the house down after sick.  But I would not leave her, and she saw something in that and eventually married me.  Dumbass.

Oh my god, this happened to me & Calavino!
I got food poisoning twice within 2 months of us dating.
She didn't bat an eye.  <3

I'm 100% sure this was  not because of Calavino's cooking or cleaning skills.

haha, no i made the horrible error in judgement to eat at Your Dekalb Farmers Market's buffet. it was the balsamic dressing which was probably thickened with egg whites. it was warm. i proceeded to eat it anyway. my bad. i was on my way to a show, she was helping me pack up and, well, i didn't make it. she also went to the venue to let them know, called another friend to cover for me, collected money at the door and then my friend still gave half to me. i was still throwing up when she got back and then she just sat there all night on the edge of the tub with a glass of water.

the second time was because mexican restaurant that is (thankfully) no longer open. took all of four hours to kick in.  i think it was the fish in the fish tacos. calavino thinks it was a 24-48 hour bug the entire staff had. apparently they all came to work anyway that night anyway. this is what she was told when she went to retrieve her forgotten phone the next day. i prefer to think it was the fish. just trying to imagine how their germs got into my food makes me want to scrub my insides out with steel wool and bleach.

i lost ~10 lbs each time b/c i refused to eat for days after i felt better...so that was good i guess.

So, the recipe for true love, is go on a first date, eat and then pass out sick...then in time you are in love and getting married...how romantic. ...I wish we had a pizza place like "Fellini's". They have the best tasting, and I love their salads with that long cheese.
