This may be a little pricey but it's lovely and close to the Bastille/Places des Vosges.

Ooh, and close to good shopping! Hmmmm... looks perfect!
It's a super fabulous area for shopping. Tons of those adorable shops that sell 3 shirts, 2 pairs of pants and a scarf in 3 different colors! Mr. Mellamur lived about 3 blocks from this hotel so I can tell you that the area around it is quite lively. At least you'll get to see a different part of the city.
Just sent the link to Mr. Mudd for review :)

A friend of mine was raised in a small apartment in the heart of Paris, and now her mom rents it out.  It looks adorable, and I'm not sure if she does one-night-only visits.  But I thought I'd share, in the event that it's exactly what you are looking for.

Bon voyage!  |@|

Very pretty... we'll need a hotel though... this would be perfect for a week in Paris!

Threadjack: husband and I got engaged at the Place des Vosges more than 6 years ago.  It's especially romantic because the square was created to celebrate the wedding of Louis XIII in 1612.  Awwwww!  /threadjack.
